On 10 January, NSW issued its first round of Subclass 190 expressions of interest for 2023. Victoria got in first last week, and NSW has now followed suit. Notably, this is also the first invitation round since NSW suddenly announced the removal of all occupation-specific points and work experience requirements.
A record-breaking 4.3 million visa applications processed! Over the past seven months, the Department of Home Affairs processed a total of 4.3 million visa applications, including 2.2 million visitor visas, 370,000 student visas, and 64,000 temporary skilled visas (primarily Subclass 482 / Skills in Demand visas).
