How do I know whether I’ve successfully graduated?

Once the results for your final UTS semester are released, you can check directly on the Study Plan page in MSA — if your course status is marked Passed, that means you have successfully completed all your courses. If your course status is Admitted, it means your results do not meet the graduation requirements.

Make sure you have supplied your student identification details.

That way you’ll receive your electronic graduation documents~

2023
The Times Young University Rankings are out. Having jumped into the world’s top 100 in last week’s QS World University Rankings, the University of Technology Sydney features in another heavyweight ranking released this week — in
the 2023 Times Higher Education Young University Rankings, the University of Technology Sydney once again sits in the world’s top 10!

The Times Higher Education Young University Rankings rank young universities worldwide established since 1973 (50 years old or younger),and this edition covers 605 universities across 78 countries and regions. On this list, UTS ranks 9th in the world and 1st in Australia.

The Times Higher Education Young University Rankings use the same 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators as the World University Rankings, but with the weightings adjusted to reflect the mission of young universities.

The performance indicators fall into five areas: teaching (the learning environment); research (volume, income and reputation); citations (research influence); international outlook (international staff, students and co-authorship); and industry income (knowledge transfer).

In the 2023 Times Higher Education World University Rankings released last October, UTS rose 10 places to 133rd in the world, holding 9th place in Australia. In less than 10 years, UTS has climbed more than 200 places on the Times rankings.

UTS Vice-Chancellor Professor Andrew Parfitt said: “A key factor in the outstanding results UTS has achieved on both the Times and QS rankings is our steadily rising research strength on the world stage. At the same time, UTS has always pursued its own distinctive vision of excellence in higher education.”

“Everything we do at UTS is grounded in a commitment to benefiting society through teaching, research and collaboration — particularly through the links between technology, creativity and innovation.” Professor Andrew Parfitt added: “UTS works with industry to deliver solutions to global challenges, in areas spanning the opportunities and responsible implementation of artificial intelligence, energy, water and urban development, and human and environmental wellbeing.”

“UTS sits in the heart of Sydney’s tech precinct, right within a thriving ecosystem of start-ups and creative industries,” Professor Andrew Parfitt said

The University of Sydney earns another major accreditation — a win for business students! 06

More good news from the University of Sydney!!!

The CFA has long been a stepping stone into the finance industry for many.

Many students study for the qualification alongside their degree, and the University of Sydney has just announced some great CFA-related news!

According to reports, the University of Sydney has been recognised as an affiliated university under the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program.

Its Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) is considered to cover at least 70% of the CFA Program’s Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and to emphasise the CFA Institute’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct.

The programme prepares students to earn the Chartered Financial Analyst designation — one of the most respected and recognised investment credentials in the world.

Joining the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program signals to prospective students, employers and the market that the University of Sydney’s programme is closely aligned with professional practice and well suited to helping students prepare for the CFA exams.

It also means that, from this year, CFA content will feature heavily in university exams — making up at least 70%!!In other words, students who later want to sit the CFA will find it much easier once they’ve completed this programme!
