Today we look at what to do if your Engineers Australia skills assessment has passed the three-year validity period recognised by the Department of Home Affairs. To be clear, an EA skills assessment itself does not technically have an expiry date, but if it is being used for migration, Home Affairs recognises it for three years. If more than three years have passed, Home Affairs may treat it as expired even if EA still considers it valid.

Northern Territory Opens New Subclass 491 Applications! Offshore Civil Engineering, Electrical, Mining, Restaurant Manager and More — Most Require Only 1 Year of Work Experience!

Once the allocation was confirmed at the start of the financial year, the Northern Territory quickly closed state nomination applications, announcing that it would first process the backlog of pre-invited applications. New Subclass 491 applications were to reopen later in the 2023-24 financial year, but Subclass 190 was unlikely to reopen due to insufficient allocation.
