Nine Applicants Invited in Nine Days: High-Income Executives in IT, Finance, Healthcare, Civil Engineering and Construction, Take Note

The 2022-23 Home Affairs report shows thatthe GTI Global Talent programmeused its full allocation of5,000 grants last financial year, including 1,345 onshore applicants and 3,655 offshore applicants.Offshore applicants still made up the larger share, and the most popular sectors wereDigitech (28.5%), Health Industries (18.6%), and Financial Services and FinTech (16.7%),so sectors with more applicants also received more grants, but competition was greater. The number of visa applicants lodged last financial year also declined, while the official grant rate remained stable at 99.5%.

Whether you have just learned about the GTI visa or have been hesitating for a long time about applying, if you fit one of the profiles below, this article may give you more confidence.

GTI

Profiles of successful invitees

For the GTI visa, there is certainly an element of luck because success depends on the subjective judgement of the GTO decision-maker. But are there patterns to follow?

Yes.Four types of applicants tend to be favoured:
high-income executives
high-income technical talent
entrepreneurs
academic researchers.
Based on recent invitations, these groups have a higher success rate.

If you also havea bachelor degree, master degree or aboveand hold an important role in a foreign company or high-tech enterprise, at manager or management level or above, whether as amanager or operator, CEO, COO, CTO, or director-level executive, andyour salary fully meets the GTI visa threshold, you may have a higher success rate in a GTI visa application.

This is especially true forIT, finance, healthcare, civil engineering and constructionapplicants who are over 45, do not want to take an English test, and do not want to invest or start a business. We recommend trying this direct PR pathway this year.

It is also worth mentioning that among the many recently invited applicants,we already have two outstanding applicants who were invited at the first-stage EOI stage without a nominator. The applicants themselves were worried about their circumstances, but with my encouragement they followed our document team’s schedule and prepared carefully, ultimately receiving invitations.
From last Monday to yesterday,
our team received nine GTI invitations in a row.
At the peak, three executives were invited in one day.

1.

Offshore applicant, Energy sector
Lodgement date: 4 May 2023
Invitation date: 23 October 2023

The applicant had worked deeply in energy engineering for many years. After completing a PhD in China, they worked in engineering-related enterprises and now hold a high-income director role at a major domestic company in the relevant sector. Academically, they have multiple papers and more than 70 patents, and completed many outstanding projects with their team.Because work was too busy to sit an English test, they decisively chose the GTI pathway. Thanks to our strong document team, this applicant was still invited for a GTI visa without a nominator. When the GTI invitation arrived after five months, the applicant could hardly believe it.

2.

Offshore applicant, Digitech sector
Lodgement date: 8 May 2023
Invitation date: 23 October 2023

After completingan Australian PhD, the applicant returned to China and worked for a major company for many years. They are now a team leader at a well-known Chinese company, leading teams to complete projects, with salary above the high-income threshold, plus multiple papers and patents. After we explored the applicant’s project work in depth, we improved the available materials as quickly as possible and lodged the EOI.Even without a nominator, the applicant was invited as normal.
Although the applicant was not at director or CEO level, they still attracted the GTO team’s attention. Although both the applicant and spouse could complete English tests and lodge skilled migration, after careful consideration they chose to try GTI first, and with our efforts received an invitation after five months.

3.

Offshore applicant, Digitech sector
Lodgement date: 8 May 2023
Invitation date: 23 October 2023

In the first year of the GTI visa, the applicantlodged once through another agency and was quickly refused. They later continued watching the GTI visa and still believed they were a strong fit. After finding me, they prepared more documents diligently with my encouragement. As a CTO-level manager at a domestic telecommunications giant, they cooperated with us to provide materials, and with our efforts lodged the EOI in May.Five months later, they successfully received a GTI invitation. Recent fast processing has been very encouraging. We hope more applicants can notice this visa, and that we can help more people turn their cases around.

4.

Offshore applicant, Digitech sector
Lodgement date: 2 May 2023
Invitation date: 19 October 2023

The applicant isDia high-income technical talent in the Digitech sector, with a Chinese master degree, many years of deep experience in technology, and a current director role at a foreign company. They always trusted us and worked with our document team to provide more industry materials, making preparation smoother. After lodging the EOI and providing further materials, they finally received a Global Talent GTI invitation after five months.

5.

Offshore applicant, Digitech sector
Lodgement date: 21 April 2023
Invitation date: 19 October 2023

The applicant is a technical talent in the Digitech sector, with multiple high-impact papers that have long been indexed by IEEE. At work, they reached COO level, making them a combination of executive and high-income talent. However, because they did not have a nominator,we initially helped apply for ACS nomination.Although the process involved a long wait, it was eventually successful. After submitting the nominator, the applicant received a GTI invitation six months later. The applicant and spouse had lacked confidence and felt their profile might not meet GTI requirements among many applicants, but with my encouragement we helped them overcome difficulties again and again. On the day of invitation, the group was full of emotion. Thank you to our document team for their support, and thank you to the client for trusting us.

6.

Offshore applicant, Digitech sector
Lodgement date: 4 May 2023
Invitation date: 19 October 2023

The applicant had no nominator when invited. The applicant is a leading figure in the Digitech sector. Their group is very well-known, and their vice-president position added significant weight, fully matching the high-income executive profile. When preparing the first-stage documents, we highlighted the key points, so they could be invited in around five months even without a nominator. However, because they still needed a nominator,we later assisted with ACS nomination, allowing the GTI visa application to be lodged. We hope more applicants in similar situations can believe in the confidence and encouragement we provide, and work with us to complete the GTI visa.

7.

Offshore applicant, Health Industries sector
Lodgement date: 20 April 2023
Invitation date: 16 October 2023

The applicant hasworked deeply in the pharmaceutical sector for many years, holds a master degree, and was recently assigned to Hong Kong. During work, they led teams responsible for multiple projects.Although the applicant is slightly older, that did not prevent a successful invitation. Their daughter, who studies in Australia, saw this visa and brought her parents to consult us offline. Within a week, they decided they needed our assistance. The GTI visa can include children under 23 and is also cheaper than waiting for the child to migrate first and then sponsoring the parents. So if you are an applicant aged over 50, you can speak with us about whether you may qualify for the GTI visa.

8.

Offshore applicant:
Defence, advanced manufacturing and space sector
Defence, Advanced Manufacturing and Space sector
Lodgement date: 3 May 2023
Invitation date: 24 October 2023

The applicantmany years of deep experience in semiconductorsand is an associate professor at a Chinese university with a PhD.They have many papers and strong professional capability. Although they are not high-income, as a city-introduced talent they are young, capable and excellent. In earlier years, only points-tested skilled migration was available and competing on points was too difficult. They signed with us in February, lodged the EOI in May, received no further-information request, and were successfully invited in October.

9.

Onshore applicant, Digitech sector
Lodgement date: May 2023
Invitation date: 20 October 2023

The applicant isa core technical talent in the Digitech sector, working at a large Australian enterprise, meeting the salary threshold, and having published multiple academic papers. This is genuine high-income technical talent. Lodged in early May and invited for the GTI visa after half a year. They did not want to pursue points-tested skilled migration, take English tests, or wait for employer sponsorship, so they came to us to obtain Australian PR through the GTI visa.
Whether you work for a domestic company or a foreign company,
if you also fit the high-income executive profile,
