NSW Issues Subclass 190 State Nomination Invitations — Popular and Niche Occupations Both Invited, Scores Ranging from 80 to 95 Points!

At 5 PM on the last working day of November, the NSW Government finally issued the November Subclass 190 invitations! Both popular and niche occupations received invitations, with scores ranging from 80 to 95 points. The NSW Government has announced on its official website that from January 2020, interstate applicants will no longer be considered for invitations.

Department of Home Affairs Announces Parent Migration Quota Legislation: Contributory Parent Visa Quota Significantly Reduced

The Department of Home Affairs has announced parent migration quota legislation: the Contributory Parent migration quota (cap) has been reduced from 7,175 to 6,096, and the non-contributory parent migration quota has been reduced from 1,500 to 1,275. Those who need to apply are encouraged to submit their parents’ applications as soon as possible to secure a place in the queue. Given the current processing backlog, applications lodged now will face a wait of at least 6 years. Existing clients who have signed agreements are asked to submit their documents at the earliest opportunity so that applications can be lodged on time.
