NSW and TAS Are Issuing Invitations — WA Coming Soon!

NSW and TAS started issuing invitations first thing this morning, and WA has also announced that it has received an additional interim allocation, with a round of invitations coming in November (exact date not yet released). At the same time, the Department has updated the state-nomination (interim) allocation usage figures as at end of October.

Below is a quick rundown. Tomorrow at 2pm, Xingyao K-Shen Migration Agency will go into the details on a live stream — everyone is welcome to book in.

NSW
The 190 invitations issued today were not large in number overall, and the scores were not low.

So far, we have seen a 90+5 invitation for a veterinarian and a 95+5 invitation for a mining engineer, along with some external invitation data (Figure 2). Others have mentioned that around-90-point invitations were issued in the broad health field — if you have seen invitations for any other occupations, feel free to share in the comments below.

TAS

  1. In today’s ROI pre-invitation round, we had clients receive both 190 and 491 invitations — all Green Pass cases for the time being.
  2. TAS quickly updated its official report (Figure 3): 70 invitations were issued under the 190, with the lowest invited score being 324 points (Green).
  3. 30 invitations were issued under the 491, with the lowest invited score being 83 points (most likely at least Orange). Because there had been a period of backlog, this round of invitations went mainly to Green and Orange+ candidates, and invitation scores are expected to fall further — fingers crossed that more Orange and even deeper-orange applicants hear good news soon.

WA
WA has just announced that it has received an additional interim allocation (Figure 4), with another round of invitations to come in November. The October round only released invitations for construction-trades occupations, but did include applicants from interstate and overseas. Overall, in terms of how promptly interim allocations are announced and the pace of invitations, WA is still leading the pack — and we hope it can push further to secure the full allocation.

State-nomination (interim) allocation usage as at end of October

  1. The Department has also released the state-nomination allocation usage figures as at end of October. With the exception of QLD, the first wave of interim allocations in every state has either been fully used or is about to be. QLD has also just announced that it will use its interim allocation to issue regular invitations.
  2. Compared with the end-of-September data, NSW and VIC issued a relatively large number of nominations in October, while Canberra has already exhausted its first wave of interim allocation. See Figure 5 for how the other states compare with their September usage.
  3. Among the states, TAS, SA and WA have now officially confirmed receiving an additional interim allocation — meaning their first wave of interim allocation is already used up and they have received a fresh round of interim allocation, allowing invitations to continue. Canberra has likewise used up its interim allocation but issues invitations on a fairly regular schedule, so it is reasonable to guess that the ACT has also received an additional interim allocation and will run a regular invitation round this month.

We are already in November and the full allocations have yet to be released, but the states are doing their best to push invitations forward with their interim allocations. Here’s hoping the new wave of interim allocations is larger, and that state nomination across the board really gets moving!
