Want to be invited for Subclass 189 / state nomination or land PR in one step via employer sponsorship? 80% of applicants have to clear this step!

Australian skilled migration streams 189/190/491 all require a skills assessment, and employer-sponsored categories — Subclass 186 DE and the 494 regional category — also require a skills assessment, so the skills assessment is one of the most critical requirements for an Australian migration application.

VETASSESS

currently assesses 361 professional occupations, and also covers trades occupations — making it the largest skills assessment authority in Australia. Skills assessments are based primarily on qualifications (level and field) and relevant work experience.

VETASSESS divides its professional occupation assessments into groups A,B,C,D,E,F, a total of 6 groups — each with different qualification and work-experience requirements.
Once you know which occupational group you fall into and match it against the required qualifications and work experience, you will have a good idea whether you meet the threshold for a VETASSESS skills assessment.
