1. Official announcement: The occupation list for 482 permanent residency has been cancelled, and everyone will be transferred to permanent residency after working for 2 years.
This Friday, I finally waited for the implementation of the 482 favourable new policy, which is confirmed to be officially implemented on November 25, 2023!
Subclass 482 TSS employer sponsorship is a work visa. After meeting the working hours and other requirements, you can transfer to 186 TRT, which is to obtain permanent residency.
This reform one: All short-term occupations can be renewed for 482 TSS
As long as your career/job canCorresponds to ANZSCO short-term occupation, you can renew the 482 application, and you must be on the migration short list
Reform 2: Subclass 482 TSS visa holders can transfer to permanent residency
Regardless of long-term, short-term and labour agreement streams can be transferred to 186 TRT (PR)
Reform 3: The waiting time for all Subclass 482 TSS visa holders to transfer to permanent residency is changed to 2 years
Previously it was 3 years
482 application process:
Sponsorship employer obtains sponsorship qualification → Nomination applicant’s nomination is approved → Visa applicant’s visa is issued
The core of employer sponsorship is that there is an Australian employer who is willing to offer you a position and sponsorship, and it is consistent with the authenticity of the nomination.Wait.
Advantages of 482:
-Nomination and visa bothNo quota restrictions
–The processing speed is very fast now, many of our customers were approved within a month
-If an employer is willing to sponsor,People can apply both domestically and overseas
–The language requirement is low and no scoring is required. No need to compete with applicants for the same professional position
–Most occupations do not require a skills assessment, most of the positions that require job evaluation are skilled workers.
Basic application requirements for 482***The application subject is divided into the employer providing sponsorship and the applicant’s employees -Qualified employers provide sponsorship (applicants can apply domestically or overseas)-The applicant’s nominated occupation has ANZSCO Code-Applicants have at least 2 years of full-time work experience (or part-time equivalent) that is highly relevant to the nominated occupation– The salary provided by the sponsoring employer is not lower than the market standard-Applicants meet the English requirements, with a minimum IELTS score of 5 and a single subject of 4.5 (PTE 36/30) Subclass 482 TSS to 186 TRT permanent residency requirements1. Employees need to be under 45 years old (there is no age limit when applying for 482, generally 482 to permanent residency must be under 45 years old, there is a high salary exemption)2. Obtain four grades of 6 in IELTS or equivalent language scores in English3. Work for the employer for 2 years This is the most favourable news for employer sponsorship in recent years, opening the door to permanent residency for many non-immigrant occupations. As long as you have close to 2 years of full-time experience, have a job in Australia or have received a job offer, all walks of life are welcome to contact us to evaluate whether you can seize this sudden permanent residency opportunity! 2. Xinzhou issued 190 rounds, and IT/engineering was invitedThe last round in Xinzhou was at the end of October, and invitations for the second round were sent out this week., the number issued in this round is more than in the previous round, and the professions are richer. The picture below is the invitation data we collected:From the known data, we can see: –Software engineers are invited, ICT is also a target sector in New South Wales this year. The scores for invitations are relatively high, and there is a 15-point bonus for work experience, which means at least 5-8 years of work experience. We have clients with higher scores but less work experience who were not invited. This year, Xinzhou is looking for experienced and skilled partners.–There are more occupations invited in engineering, and many of them are related to construction and infrastructure. They are also the favourites of New South Wales, and their scores are relatively low. –There are also professions related to the Three Treasures and medical treatment., the score is even lower-And probably because work experience is valued, most of the known invitees in this round are from overseas. Computer and construction occupations can still be submitted to the New South Wales 190 to try, especially those with relevant work experience, both overseas and domestically. You can contact the customer service below to find out. 3. Australian study visa applications broke records, but 500,000 temporary visas gave the government a headacheThe recent study permit data has been released. In the fiscal year 22-23 (July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023), the number of student visas processed and issued by Australia reached 369,979, an increase of 52% compared to 2019, which was before the epidemic. The number of people holding Australian student visas in Australia has reached 660,000. The number of student visas signed in India has increased by 140.9% and has exceeded 100,000.The number of student visas signed in China increased by 83.7%, reaching nearly 100,000.The growth rates in countries such as Brazil and the Philippines are even more astonishing. And the heat hasn’t gone down yet,In the three months from July to September 2023, the number of newly submitted study permits from various countries and regions reached 138,634, with an average of 46,000 new applications per month.Among them, 26,337 are from mainland China. The number of student visa applications reached 103,030, an average of 34,000 per month, of which 21,065 were from mainland China. Net overseas migration NOM (including a large number of temporary visas for long-term residence in Australia) is expected to reach 500,000 in the 12 months ending in September this year.September quarter rental growth was above expectations at 7.6 percent, the highest since 2009.HSBC believes that the surge in NOM has caused rents and consumption to rise, intensifying inflationary pressure and increasing the possibility of further interest rate hikes by the Reserve Bank of Australia. The Department of Home Affairs has taken a series of measures to postpone the entry of temporary visas. For example, the overseas study permit processing is much slower, such as the cancellation of 408, and this year’s 462 in mainland China has not yet been drawn. But the bigger question may still be how these people can obtain permanent residency in the future? Will it be more rolled? 4. The current status of parents’ migration proceedings, finally more supplementary materials have been issued!Parental migration did not receive supplementary materials from July to September of this fiscal year. Instead, applications for which supplementary materials were issued in the previous fiscal year were processed. In October, the number of replenishments began to increase. Generally speaking, applications submitted in early May 2017 were still being replenished. There were a large number of 143 applications from May to June 2017, coupled with the previous backlog,According to the current fiscal year, the number of paid approvals is only 6,800, so more than a year’s backlog of quotas can be used up in just May and June. Below is the number of submissions for each day in May 2017 that we obtained from external sharing. We can see that May 9th was the largest number of 406, so it seems that the recent replenishment notices have been stopped at the 8th and 9th.The good news is that this week we have already received supplementary information from customers who submitted on the 10th, proving that most of the notifications on the 9th have been completed. Two more reminders: -The time mentioned above is in the confirmation letterThe visa shown when submitting, rather than the time it takes to get the confirmation letter. Due to the huge volume of submissions from May to June 2017, the issuance of the confirmation letter will be delayed by 1-2 months. The date of application on the letter is the correct submission time.–The waiting estimation table we posted before is still useful. The actual situation is slower than the estimation. It can still be used as a rough referenceThe latest 143/103 parent migration application backlog and updated waiting time estimation table are here! Attached is an introduction to various types of visas related to parents!Friends who have newly obtained permanent residency, please prepare for your parents as soon as possible, at least get in line first!
