Onshore applicants are required to providean employment contract, payslips from the past four weeks, the most recent superannuation contribution record from the employer, and a position description to declare annual income (if employed). -
Additionally,Subclass 491 onshore applicants must be living in a regional area of Victoria and have employment relevant to their nominated occupation(this requirement does not apply to Subclass 190). -
Offshore Subclass 491 applicants are required to submit an ROI for any eligible occupation. Health-related occupations are given priority. -
For Subclass 190 applications, the nominated occupation can be any occupation eligible for Subclass 190 on the Department’s occupation list, with a skills assessment completed and the minimum points requirement met. Onshore applicants must reside in Victoria.

Following the ACT’s announcement of provisional quotas,Tasmania has also released its provisional quotas today — with Subclass 190 nearly doubling!

New South Wales:The occupation list and application requirements will be announced shortly (applications are not recommended before this financial year’s policy is published). No pre-invitations have been issued this financial year.

ACT (Canberra):The ACT government was the first to announce provisional state nomination quotas. For the 2022–23 financial year, the transitional quota is 800 for Subclass 190 and 1,920 for Subclass 491, totalling 2,720 places.

Queensland: Queensland confirmed its transitional quota on 9 August and is expected to open applications shortly.The main directions announced at a previous information session includedprimarily easing requirements for some locally-trained graduates, opening the work pathway to offshore applicants (onshore applicants remain largely unchanged), and reopening the Subclass 188E for investment migration.The application channel remains closed for now and will not open until the nomination quota is received. Tasmania:Today (11 August), Tasmania announced the 2022–23 financial year provisional quotas — Subclass 190 nearly doubles, while Subclass 491 sees a significant reduction.
Western Australia:The occupation list and application requirements have been confirmed and published, with good news for local graduates! Northern Territory:The MINT programme has confirmed that all migration occupations are eligible to apply, and the newly established MINT graduate pathway has commenced.The general stream occupation list and application requirements have not yet been officially announced.
