Victoria’s latest round: IT secures Subclass 190 on a raw score of 75, accounting on 85! NSW 491 and the Northern Territory invite even more offshore engineering and IT applicants!

Today, 18 AprilVictoria releaseda new round of ROIs. This round, Victoria invited some occupations that are neither fast-track nor among the familiar priority categories.

Victoria — let’s hope there’s another round/

Overall the volume in this round wasn’t large, but at least some other occupations were invited. The invitation data gathered from our clients and from external sources so far is shown below:

Victoria has just topped up its own Subclass 190 allocation by 1,400 places, leaving 3,243 places available at the end of March — more generous than NSW. But compared with the broad, large-scale releases in the first half of the financial year and at the start of this year, since the fast-track channel was added in March it’s clear that Victoria’s focus has shifted to a select few categories of occupations.

Another figure offers further evidence: in March alone Victoria actually issued 3,136 Subclass 190 places — 1,000 more than NSW over the same period — yet everyone’s impression is that Victoria has been relatively “quiet”, precisely because few invitations went to common and popular fields.

The Victorian ROI submission window for the 2022-23 financial year closes on 5 May. Barring surprises, if there is another release, May will be the final round.

Victorian state-nomination onshore applicants must be living in the state, but unlike NSW there is no minimum residence-duration requirement. So for the following fast-track occupations, switching focus to Victoria now may still be in time!

Social work, nursing, early childhood education and a range of healthcare occupations — get in touch to assess whether you could secure PR through Victoria’s Subclass 190 in the short term!

NSW Subclass 190 5 April led the way and released this month’s pre-invitations, while 491, following a flurry of invitations, continues to issue new invitations.

NSW 190 keeps approving, 491 invites frequently/

NSW Subclass 190led the way and released this month’s pre-invitations on 5 April(for details see: NSW Subclass 190 latest round — invitations from as low as 65 points! Offshore batch invitations for “niche” occupations such as organisation/management/HR/public relations! Auditors again invited on a raw score of 85!)

From last week, nominations from those who received pre-invitations in this round have been under assessment. Here are some of our approved clients

85+5 points, Architect

85+5 points, Architect

65+5 points, Conference and Event Organiser, offshore

85+5 points, Mechanical Engineer

75+5 points, Program or Project Administrator, offshore

NSW Subclass 491 is continuing to issue nominations and pre-invitations. The latest additions to the invited occupations include:

Engineering Professionals 233999, 60+15 points, offshore

Engineering Technologist, 60+15 points, onshore
Electrical Engineer, 65+15 points, offshore
Mechanical Engineer, 60+15 points, offshore
Software Engineer, 65+15 points, offshore

For purely offshore IT and engineering applicants who can’t reach four 8s in English or rely on years of work experience to push their scores up, NSW Subclass 491 really is an excellent pathway. Completing your skills assessment and lodging now gives you a strong chance of securing PR within this financial year~

As we’ve mentioned many times, NSW Subclass 491 is the state-nomination program that still has ample places in the final quarter of this financial year! Beyond that, there is also Northern Territory Subclass 491, and Queensland Subclasses 190 and 491. Here is some more invitation data to share with you~

Queensland Subclasses 190 and 491

Northern Territory general stream

The Northern Territory’s general offshore stream recently saw a favourable policy change: Another state nomination sharply lowers its requirements and welcomes overseas applicants! A new family-sponsorship stream, ultra-low work-experience requirements, and a wide range of eligible occupations!

Northern Territory MINT program

Today we also happen to have several invitations, all Subclass 190! The occupations covered include Program or Project Administrator, Marketing Specialist, Private Tutor, Advertising Copywriter and Book Editor, among others. MINT program applicants only need an EOI score of 65 points! If you have a certain budget, this is a very friendly pathway for a fast and reliable invitation!

In short, don’t hesitate — act now. There are still plenty of opportunities this financial year!
