15–17 Feb: USYD Welcome Fest Starts Tomorrow! Orientation Week Highlights — 200+ Booths to Explore!



15–17 February: the most anticipated Welcome Fest booths of USYD’s Orientation Week are almost here! Here’s the full schedule for this year’s orientation activities:
1. Welcome Ceremony:
This is a longstanding USYD tradition — the Vice-Chancellor and senior leadership address incoming students in a formal welcome.
Time: 15 February, 10–11 am
Location: Lawn in front of the Quadrangle Building (“Harry Potter Building”), University Ave

2. Live Music Performances
Time: 15–17 February, 4– 6pm

Location: Lawn in front of the Quadrangle Building (“Harry Potter Building”), University Ave


3. Club & Society Recruitment Booths

Explore 180+ USU clubs and societies — a great opportunity to make new friends! Every booth runs fun activities and prize draws each day, so you definitely won’t be leaving empty-handed!

Time: 15–17 February


4. Outdoor Cinema

The open-air outdoor cinema is another Orientation Week tradition — two nights, two different films!

16 February: Mamma Mia

2023 New Semester Welcome Ceremony


15 February — tomorrow — the new semester Welcome Ceremony begins at 9:45 am, with special guests including the Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellors, and student leaders from SRC and SUPRA.


From 9 am, grab breakfast on the lawn and pick up your free commemorative t-shirt!

Fisher Library Morning Tea & Snacks
