TAFE’s Enrolled Nurse course equips you with the essential skills and knowledge for healthcare work, including delivering nursing care to professional standards, monitoring and assessing patients’ health, and administering medication and pharmaceutical care. Healthcare and nursing occupations are among the most in-demand in Australia’s labour market right now, so they are extremely easy to receive invitations for in the migration system — being given priority invitations by state governments such as NSW and Victoria has become routine.


Community Worker (Community Worker)

Skills assessment and migration: the ACWA assessing authority requires IELTS 7 across all four bands and accepts PTE.ACWA-accredited qualifications all include 400 hours of placement, so the skills assessment can waive the work-experience requirement; non-accredited qualifications carry a one-year work-experience requirement.

Community worker is currently on the Short-term list; with the required English level and an EOI of 65 points or more, you can apply for Subclass 190 state nomination and Subclass 491 regional state nomination.For example, South Australian graduates with one year of work experience can go through SA Subclass 190 state nomination.Community workers, too, are snapped up everywhere — once you hit 65 points there is a strong chance of being invited quickly!


Finally, one more point worth stressing: completing a TAFE course does not automatically make you eligible for migration. Meeting the qualification requirement within the skills assessment is the gateway to migration and employment, but on top of the qualification, any work-experience or English requirements must also be met. Only once the skills assessment is completed do you have the chance to apply for PR.
