Beyond this, there are a few policy details worth noting:

· From 1 July 2023, visitor visa and some temporary visa fees will rise by 15%, business and investor migration visa fees by 40%, and the Subclass 189/190/491/employer-sponsored categories by 6%

Several Australian institutions issue return-to-campus notices
Under a directive issued by the Australian Government last October, from 30 June 2023 international students holding an Australian student visa are required to return to Australia to study, and many students have already returned to campus for in-person learning.
Today, more institutions have updated their return-to-campus notices for next semester:
RMIT Universitywill gradually transition all online courses to face-to-face, in-person teaching, and is offering a range of services to help students return to campus and settle quickly into life in Australia.
In addition, Monash University has also issued a relevant notice, stating that from 1 July students will need to continue studying in Australia, and that students who cannot return due to special circumstances may apply to take leave from their studies.
Students who have not yet returned to campus should be sure to plan ahead.
