TAFE NSW (New South Wales TAFE)operates under the Australian Department of Education, and is the largest higher education system in the Southern Hemisphere, offering vocational training and higher education across a wide range of faculties and majors. Strong government funding and close ties with local businesses give TAFE students access to better educational resources and opportunities to take part in internships with local companies.It is also recognised by China’s Ministry of Education, so graduates can obtain qualification certification!

 Currently, international students commencing in July 2021 can receivescholarships of up to AUD 1,000-2,000.As TAFE is a government-run national technical college, tuition fees are already much lower than university fees, so opportunities for tuition discounts or scholarships are not common. For students considering enrolling at NSW TAFE,here’s some good news — the school is now offering scholarships for students facing financial hardship due to COVID-19!


Scholarship 1: AUD $1,000 Early Bird Scholarship

  • Early bird discount details:$1,000 off first-semester tuition

  • Eligibility: starting a course at TAFE NSW in July 2021 (excluding English language courses), enrolled in a course of at least 0.5 years

  • Deadline:16 July 2021

 

 

Scholarship 2: AUD $2,000 Scholarship
  • Total value AUD 2,000,applied as AUD 1,000 tuition credits against Semester 2, 2021 and Semester 1, 2022 respectively.

  • TAFE NSW will offer a limited number of scholarships to international students in Semester 2, 2021.

  • Available only to new students studying online offshore or face-to-face onshore in Semester 2, 2021.

  • Students must be new to TAFE NSW, or have already completed a TAFE NSW course and be applying for a new course (excluding courses already packaged previously)

  • The course must have a duration of at least 1 year

  • Deadline:5:00pm, 30 June 2021 (Australian Eastern Standard Time)

The Bachelor of Early Childhood Education is a 4-year programme, with tuition of $6,860 AUD per semester — just AUD 53,000 for the full four years, about one-third the cost of a university degree!

After completing the TAFE NSW Bachelor of Early Childhood Education,students can pass the early childhood occupation skills assessment while being exempt from the IELTS 7-7-8-8 score requirement,and students planning to migrate can choose to study directly at a regional campus,or transfer internally in third year to the Shellharbour campus in the Illawarra region or the Glendale campus in the Hunter and Central Coast region of regional NSW to complete the degree.An extremely stable migration major!A choice of three migration visas — Subclass 189, 190 or 491!
