TAFE NSW (New South Wales TAFE)operates under the Australian Department of Education, and is the largest higher education system in the Southern Hemisphere, offering vocational training and higher education across a wide range of faculties and majors. Strong government funding and close ties with local businesses give TAFE students access to better educational resources and opportunities to take part in internships with local companies.It is also recognised by China’s Ministry of Education, so graduates can obtain qualification certification!

Advantages
The programmes offered by the schoolare designed primarily around local employment demand in Australia, so mostare high-demand fieldsand are alsopopular skilled-occupation fields in demand for migration. The curriculum focuses on combining theory with practice, emphasising practical, hands-on skills, and building students’ ability to apply and operate within their field.For most majors, students have the opportunity to complete internships with local businesses partnered with TAFE.
Tuition fees are generally lower, with average annual undergraduate tuition of aroundAUD 10,000-20,000(university tuition is typically AUD 30,000-40,000), while still offering equally high-quality teaching staff — a high-value option for international students.
Entry requirements are low — most undergraduate programmes require an IELTS score of 6.0, with a small number of majors requiring 6.5,and HSC students can be exempted from the English requirement and enter migration-advantage undergraduate majors directly, with high school results used only as a reference, allowing direct entry into the undergraduate programme.

Currently, international students commencing in July 2021 can receivescholarships of up to AUD 1,000-2,000.As TAFE is a government-run national technical college, tuition fees are already much lower than university fees, so opportunities for tuition discounts or scholarships are not common. For students considering enrolling at NSW TAFE,here’s some good news — the school is now offering scholarships for students facing financial hardship due to COVID-19!
Scholarship 1: AUD $1,000 Early Bird Scholarship
Early bird discount details:$1,000 off first-semester tuition
Eligibility: starting a course at TAFE NSW in July 2021 (excluding English language courses), enrolled in a course of at least 0.5 years
Deadline:16 July 2021
Scholarship 2: AUD $2,000 Scholarship
Total value AUD 2,000,applied as AUD 1,000 tuition credits against Semester 2, 2021 and Semester 1, 2022 respectively.
TAFE NSW will offer a limited number of scholarships to international students in Semester 2, 2021.
Available only to new students studying online offshore or face-to-face onshore in Semester 2, 2021.
Students must be new to TAFE NSW, or have already completed a TAFE NSW course and be applying for a new course (excluding courses already packaged previously)
The course must have a duration of at least 1 year

You can work as an early childhood assistant while studying!In the final year of the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, the focus is on placements, while in each semester of the first three years there are around 2 to 4 weeks of placement, 5 days a week.This gives students an excellent opportunity to put what they’ve learned into practice. Placement experience complements the academic and theoretical content, and the real workplace also tests students’ understanding of theoretical knowledge, allowing them to combine what they learn in a real-world setting with theoretical knowledge. Students will study child development and teaching practice, ethics, diversity and social justice. Completion of Year 12 of secondary school;an overall IELTS score of 6.5 with no band below 6.0, or an overall PTE score of 58 with no component below 50, with an English language course able to be packaged if needed;students with an HSC Band 4 or above can be exempted from the English requirement, or take a fast-track 5-week packaged English language course.
