Compared with Australia’s traditional 2-year or 1.5-year master’s degrees, a 1-year master’s takes less time, cutting living costs in half,and during the pandemic, studying online from China means no expensive living costs at all, while tuition fees are relatively lower,so the overall cost is low for a master’s degree from a top global university.
Short programmes, compact and practical course design
1-year postgraduate programmes are usuallymore specialised, higher-level courses, more targeted and better able to address students’ needs directly — they don’t repeat foundational content you’ve already mastered, helping you quickly and effectively pick up the practical skills the industry needs.

For students who don’t meet any of these,you can enrol in a Graduate Certificate offered by the University of Newcastle or another institution to meet the entry requirements — and any GC units you’ve already completed can count towards credit!
Here’s a little tip, just between us:
although the University of Newcastle’s MBA usually takes 1.5 years to complete,if you get approval from the school, you can choose to complete 4 units each trimester and finish the whole degree in just 1 year!
