By the end of February, NSW still had more than 4,800 Subclass 491 places. Since the 491 RDA stream removed the additional occupation-points and work-experience requirements, the 491 RDA stream has continued to issue a good number of invitations.
That said, yesterday — 29 March — was likely the first time this financial year that a large batch of NSW Subclass 491 invitations was issued together, covering both the stream applying through the state government and the stream applying through the RDA.
This article mainly shares the invitation news. If you aren’t too familiar with the NSW Subclass 491 invitation rules, take a look at today’s lead article。
Below is the invitation data we have collected

We can see that Civil Engineering was invited at a base score of 55, ICT BA at a base score of 75, and Software Engineer at a base score of 80. There are also some less common occupations — the less common the occupation, the lower the score needed for an invitation。
So this is ideal for overseas applicants who don’t have many years of work experience and can’t pour endless effort into chasing IELTS 7s or 8s across all four bands! Get in touch with us to assess your skills assessment and your chances of securing a NSW Subclass 491 invitation!
