First-Quarter Selection Results
Of the 2,073 approved QMAS applicants in the first quarter, 1,354 were aged 18-39, making up around 65%.
Of the 2,073 approved cases, those holding a master’s degree / two or more bachelor’s degrees made up the largest group, at 57% (1,185 people).
The industries with the most approvals this quarter were financial and accounting services (710 people), information technology and telecommunications (326 people), with these two industries together accounting for around 50%. Applications from “other” industries made up 40%.
Of the 2,067 approved applicants, 1,780 had no fewer than 5 years of work experience at a degree level or expert level — around 86%. This shows that, in this year’s QMAS applications, a bachelor’s degree alone, without other advantages, makes approval increasingly difficult.
