Don’t Have the Grades for Go8 Masters? Graduate Certificates and Diplomas Can Get You There — No Extra Time or Fees! Finance, IT, Engineering, Education and More Available

  //

When it comes to studying in Australia, the Group of Eight universities always attract the most attention. Becausemost Go8 postgraduateprogrammes require an Australianundergraduate GPA of at least 65%, this hard requirement shuts some students out.

Don’t worry though — many Australian universities also offerGraduate Certificate (GC) and Graduate Diploma (GD)programmes, which are ideal for students whose academic background doesn’t directly meet master’s entry requirements!

In most cases, upon successfully completing the GC/GD programme with the required grade, you canprogress directlyinto the master’s, with all creditsfully countedtowards the master’s degree — the total time taken is exactly the same as entering the master’s directly,with no extra time or tuition fees.

What are GC and GD programmes?

  //

GC=Graduate Certificate= a postgraduate certificate programme, typically0.5 years

GD=Graduate Diploma= a postgraduate diploma programme, typically1 year

Simply put, both qualifications are bridging programmes that sit between a bachelor’s degree (Bachelor) and a master’s degree,bridging the gap,suitable for students whose academic average, disciplinary background, or qualifications do not directly meet master’s entry requirements.
