Targeted Programme Structure

Students enrolling in SPI’s Master of Data Science and Master of Data Science (AI)

can, through their choice of units, potentially qualify for a skills assessment in occupations including ICT BA、System Analyst、Web developer、Analyst Programmer、Developer Programmer、Software Engineer、Database Administrator、Software and Applications Programmers.

The specific assessment outcome depends on each student’s background.

Built-in Practical Project / Work Placement

To help students transition to the workforce, the course includes a Capstone unit（18 credits）, during which students can work alongside lecturers on a project or complete a formal work placement。

As a result, across the 2-year programme, on-campus study time is approximately 1 year and 8–9 months — the remainder is spent on real-world projects.

Flexible Entry Requirements

Direct entry requirements for Master of Data Science and Master of Data Science (AI):

– Hold a bachelor’s degree with a GPA of at least 4.5 (business undergraduate backgrounds includes some study areas requiring quantitative reasoning and analysis）

– English language: IELTS overall 6.5, no band below 6 (PTE accepted)

– If your GPA is below 4.5, you can package in a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma programme!

–If you do not meet the English requirement, an English language course can be bundled!

Applications welcome from within Australia and overseas. Purely Chinese qualifications are accepted, and applicants with relevant backgrounds may receive credit exemptions (subject to individual assessment).
