Western Australia offers eligible full-time international students a $1500 rental subsidy!
First, the question everyone cares about most: exactly how much is paid out?
Students who are eligible and whose application is successful will receive a one-off cash subsidy of AUD $1500, paid straight into the bank account you nominate.
Payments are made in the order applications are submitted, provided the documents you submit are complete enough.

Which international students are eligible?
To apply for this $1500 rental subsidy, you must meet the following:
-
be an international student whose course is registered on CRICOS at a registered education institution in WA (a WA local university, TAFE International WA or a private registered training organisation, an English language (ELICOS) provider, or a primary or secondary school);
-
at the time of applying, the applicant must be studying full-time within WA;
-
the applicant’s course commenced on or after 26 October 2022; and
-
the applicant is enrolled in a course of at least 1 year (2 semesters); and
-
the applicant had not studied within WA on or before 25 October 2022.
Note: the following international students are NOT eligible to apply for this subsidy:
-
if you have already applied for and received the ISAS subsidy in the first or second round;
-
if you are not studying full-time;
-
if you are enrolled in a course of less than 1 year (2 semesters);
-
if you studied within WA on or before 25 October 2022;
-
if you have not yet entered WA.
None of the above can apply for this subsidy.
