1. NSW is in full swing for the third round, and work experience in computer/engineering is the key to being invited
NSW issued the third round of invitations this financial year on Thursday. The first round was at the end of October and the last round was at the beginning of November. So NSW is quite diligent and intensive. The number of invitations in this round is larger and the occupations are richer. In the afternoon, this is the invitation data we collected as of the end of business hours on Friday:
medical educationMajors still have low scores, and you can even get invited with 60+5 points
-Also belonging to priority areasComputerThere are also many invitations,Not only do the scores belong to the high segment, with most of them having 90+5 points, but the most important thing is that the work experience can be added to 10-15 points, that is, at least 3 years of relevant experience. Some people are in the country but their original work experience in the country can also be used.
Engineering infrastructureMany people were invited in this round because the competition itself is not as fierce as in IT.The EOI invitation score is between 75-85 points, and most of them are invited from overseas, including transportation, mining, electrical and civil engineering.,Project construction managers and urban planners are both infrastructure talents that are in short supply in Australia.
In these rounds, NSW has only invited applicants from priority fields in the target sector. We have not seen other popular professions such as accounting, marketing, and auditing being invited yet. The scores are divided into fields. Occupations such as IT are already popular, so the scores will be higher if you are invited. The state government also selects those with long work experience to invite.

NSW 190 has an ultra-low threshold this year and anyone can submit it. If it is a priority field in the target sector, it is recommended to submit. If you submit in a field other than these fields, you will have to wait for the Buddhist system. Maybe after clearing a few rounds of priority Lingyun, it will also give some opportunities to other professions? If you want to know more, please contact customer service below

2. WA issues another 1,200 invitations to seize opportunities for construction/tourism professions
WA, which issued a pre-invitation last Friday, updated its official report for the round this week.1,200 invitations were sent this round, although it is less than the previous round, but in this year of quota shortage, it is still considerable. And if you look carefully at the invitation status of specific occupations, you can see that WA has a plan.
General stream Sch 2 (hereinafter referred to as Gen2) issued the largest number of 600, and the graduate channel issued 225.Mainly talk about Gen2 who has the most invitations.
1. Four priority areas related to construction/tourism services/teaching/medical care, most of which only require EOI 70-75 points
Reminder again, construction-related majors go to WA 190Additional exemption job offer,Professionals such as architects, civil engineers, architectural draftsmen, construction project managers, and building surveyors are highly recommended to try WA 190.
For two consecutive rounds, WA has invited many hotel management-related occupations, such asRestaurant managers, conference organizers, chefs/cooks, hotel managers, sales and marketing managers, these professions are not easy to be invited to in most areas. You can go to WA to apply for Gen2 and find related jobs. Job offer is required for 190, but not for 491.
There are still more this roundTESOL, vocational training teachersThese unpopular education majors are invited, with EOI scores of 75-85 points
2. Accounting/ICT/non-construction projects require high scores
General Accounting, Tax Accounting, Management Accounting, Management Consultant, ICT BA, Software Engineer, System Admin, Computer Network and System Engineer, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Communication EngineeringAll popular professions are invited this round. The score must be at least 95 EOI points, and the highest score is even 110 points.
This round of invitations was not as large as the previous round, and those invited to Gen2 were all those who had moved to WA. Although in principle there is no residency requirement in WA, you can apply from other states/overseas, but if you want stability and speed, it is recommended to move locally. Several of our clients this round were invited soon after they moved there.
Graduate ChannelThere are more occupations to be invited to, and they are also lower. There is still a trend that priority/unpopular occupations have low scores, popular occupations require high scores, or popular occupations require higher academic qualifications (PhD & Masters).
For more analysis, please see:WA has sent out another 1,200 invitations! Are there still quotas worth moving over? Which professions and conditions are still acceptable?

3. Tasmanian 190 and 491 quotas are both left with more than half; NSW 491 will issue invitations soon; Canberra’s next round is postponed
TasmaniaThe quota usage status was updated this week. As of November 13, Tasmania still has 314 190 quotas and 394 491 quotas.Overall, 59% of the quota remains unused.. Tasmania also plans to use the quota carefully until the end of the financial year, and the weekly disbursement amount will basically maintain single or ten digits. So far, only Gold & Green applicants have been invited, there is a small backlog, and the review cycle is 3-4 weeks.
The policy was announced last weekNSW 491, this week continued to notify that applications for pathway 1 (those who have jobs in regional NSW can submit nominations directly) will soon be open.At the same time, pathway2 (EOI pre-invitation system) will also send invitations (shortly) in the near future.
The rules of NSW pathway2 this year are basically the same as those of 190. Education/healthcare/infrastructure/ICT/agriculture are priority areas for invitation. The submission threshold is very low, but everyone competes in the same pool.

Canberra StateSystem failures have occurred continuously in the past two weeks. This week’s announcement stated that due to recent technical issues with the Matrix submission system, some applicants were unable to submit applications, and the state government is working hard to resolve them. Therefore, the round of invitations originally scheduled to be issued before November 20 has been postponed, and the specific time is to be determined.

4. Will the Department of Home Affairs launch a multi-year migration planning model in 25-26?

This week the Department of Home Affairs announced the consultation for the 24-25 financial year migration programme, which is open until December 17. This is mainly to determine the number of PR visa grant quotas for the next financial year, such as 189/190/491/186. This is more of a routine, done every year, and the problems are similar. The final number is mainly determined by the federation based on the general environment.

In order to attract more attention, the public consultation document provides some recent migration data and environmental background. Among them, the more noteworthy mention is thatCurrently, Australia’s annual migration plan (that is, the permanent residence visa quota) is planned once a year. The migration review found that Australia needs long-term and comprehensive migration planning. Longer-term plans can allow the federal government and states to cooperate more closely.

2023 National Cabinet inBoth states and the Commonwealth have agreed to develop a principled multi-year migration planning model, and the prospect of expanding Australia’s migration programme will help better align Australia’s investment in population, infrastructure, housing and services. The federal government expects this may be implemented in 25-26 years.

It would be a good thing if a sustained long-term plan can be implemented. We don’t have to wait in suspense every financial year. However, the key point still lies in whether it can be implemented. For detailed analysis, please see:Is the Department of Home Affairs initially planning to set up a multi-year migration plan model in 25-26 years?
