The University of Western Australia Business School, in the 2023 Australian Financial Review (AFR) AFR BOSS Best Business Schools ranking, was listed among the top five in Australia.
This ranking evaluates Australian business schools across three critical dimensions: institutional reputation, teaching quality, and graduate career outcomes. Among the 37 business schools assessed across Australian institutions, UWA Business School achieved: 4th place overall, 3rd for teaching quality, and 8th for institutional reputation.
Professor Peter Robertson, UWA Business School Dean and Head of School, noted that receiving this recognition for a second consecutive year underscores UWA’s consistency in delivering outstanding business education.

We are proud to produce graduates who drive positive change globally.”

UTS THE Rankings
Ranked 133rd Globally, 9th in Australia
06
The September 2024 Times Higher Education World University Rankings have been released. UTS is ranked 133rd globally, 9th in Australia, and is one of the highest-quality research universities in the country. One of the core indicators in the THE rankings is research quality, which primarily assesses research publication output and citation performance — both reflecting the impact on scholars at other institutions worldwide. The assessment also evaluates institutional research strength, research excellence, and research influence.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Andrew Parfitt stated: “The quality and impact of UTS researchers’ work is gaining increasingly broad recognition both in Australia and internationally. For many years, UTS has been at the forefront of interdisciplinary research in key fields such as artificial intelligence, environmental science, allied health, and engineering.”
“The latest THE rankings are testament to the dedicated research of UTS’s globally renowned scholars. We remain at the cutting edge across many important areas crucial to Australia’s development, serving as pioneers of technological advancement,” said Professor Parfitt.
In the current THE World University Rankings, UTS also performed strongly on the “International Outlook” indicator. This indicator measures the proportion of international students, international academic staff, and international co-authorship.
