Recently,another language school and early childhood education provider in Australia has suddenly announced it is closing down,leaving all its students in a panic.During the pandemic, many small and medium-sized migration agents went under due to funding problems,and we’ve handled many cries for help — clients who paid a service fee only to find their agent had vanished, or who paid a full year’s tuition only to discover the fees had been pocketed by the agent while the school had already cancelled their enrolment.
As a result,it’s hard not to stress just how important it is to choose the right agent.
Everyone should compare carefully and choose a reputable, trustworthy, large-scale agent to handle their course and visa.

Since we’re on the topic ofearly childhood education courses,
let’s take this opportunity to give everyone a detailed introduction.
What is an early childhood education course?
Australia’s early childhood education courses are mainly designed to give students a broad understanding of how to care for children aged 0–6 in a childcare centre or family day care setting. The course covers the fundamentals of becoming a professional educator, delivering care both at home and in a childcare centre.
Why choose early childhood education?
1. Excellent job security
As early childhood education continues to develop,demand for early childhood teachers keeps growing,yet the educator-to-child ratio remains far from ideal. As a result, more and more people are realising that now is a good time to enter early childhood education, and the field is becoming increasingly sought-after,
with early childhood teacher already one of Australia’s most in-demand occupations. The Australian Department of Employment forecasts that this industry’s strong growth will continue for at least the next five years.
2. Flexible ways of working
Professional roles in the early childhood sector vary widely, so teachers always have room to grow and challenge themselves in childcare. You can also shape your career around your own personal interests, goals and lifestyle.Teachers can choose to work full-time or part-time in long day care, kindergartens and preschools, or family day care.
You can work directly with children, for example as an educator, or indirectly, for example as a centre manager overseeing the day-to-day running of the service. Working hours are also very flexible and can be arranged to suit you.
3. Early childhood education is a migration occupation
Early childhood education is a migration occupation in Australia, currently a fairly stable in-demand occupation that sits on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL).Once you graduate from an accredited early childhood education course and meet the IELTS requirement, you can pass the skills assessment. After obtaining the skills assessment, there are many migration pathways to choose from, which we’ll go through in detail below.
If you complete a full 4 years of higher education in Australia, the IELTS requirement for the skills assessment can be waived.
How to become an early childhood educator
You’ll generally need to complete anearly childhood teacher preparation programme approved by the Australian education authority, and obtain a teaching certificate or licence.After that, you can apply for early childhood teacher positions.
During your studies you’ll take courses on children’s teaching methods and learning theory, covering topics including:
children’s health and safety; how to foster and promote children’s early development;
how to design, implement, coordinate and evaluate experiences to support children’s growth;
how to include children with special needs in the group;
how to work with parents in caring for children, and how to manage an early childhood department or organisation, among other topics.
Schools generally arrange practical placements so trainee teachers are well prepared for the demands of the job.

Which migration pathways are available for early childhood education?
189 visa: Skilled Independent migration
Recommendation: 1 star
(open to applicants Australia-wide, but requires a high points score, is difficult, and progresses slowly)
190 visa: State-nominated migration
Recommendation: 3 stars
(Requirements vary by state government; applying automatically adds 5 migration points, and some states’ invitation scores are relatively low — generally, 190 visa holders must remain in the nominating state for at least 2 years.)
491 visa: Skilled Work Regional migration
Recommendation: 3 stars
(Requirements vary by state government; applying automatically adds 15 migration points, invitation scores are lower and quotas are plentiful — you’re generally required to study in a regional area of the nominating state, and converting to PR comes with a pre-tax annual salary requirement!)
482 visa: Skills in Demand (Employer Sponsored) visa (TSS)
Recommendation: 4 stars
This visa is for skilled workers heading to Australia for work; it is valid for four years, and applicants need to be nominated and sponsored by an employer. Eligible visa holders who have worked in Australia for 3 years can apply for permanent residency.
Applying for this visa is a two-step process: first you need to be nominated by an Australian employer, then you apply under the relevant nominated stream. The 186 visa is part of Australia’s permanent employer-sponsored visa scheme and is a permanent residency visa. Applicants can apply from either inside or outside Australia.
The 494 is a regional employer-sponsored visa that could be described as a near-PR visa — holders can access Medicare and work full-time during this period. While it doesn’t grant PR status outright, once applicants meet the residency and work-duration requirements as well as the salary threshold, they can convert to the 191 permanent visa and obtain Australian PR status.
