Great news! Get into a world top-100 university with just a Tier-2 Gaokao score! Simple process, multiple pathways, plus policy incentives and career benefits!
The much-anticipated2021 Gaokaohas just wrapped up. Before anything else, we’d like to wish everyone who’s just finished their exams the results they were hoping for — so for now, relax and enjoy some well-earned downtime!
In recent years, studying abroad after the Gaokaohas gradually become a popular trend~More and more students are using their Gaokao results to apply to top overseas universities, starting a university life earlier that builds independence and personal growth.
Easy entry, strict exit — genuine skill-building. This is exactly why so many students choose to study abroad after the Gaokao!Australian universitieshave always beeneasy entry, strict exitthe type, with a strong focus on developing students’ logical thinking skills. So-called “easy entry” meansyou have the chance to use your current results to get into a higher-ranked university.
Currently, many Australian universities acceptdirect applications using Gaokao results, and among the Group of Eight (Go8)most universities accept this too.
Easy entry
into top universities
For example, ranked 43rd in the 2022 QS World University Rankings, the University of New South Wales, the chart below shows the 2020 Gaokao admission scores (2021 figures will be released progressively)
In some provinces and cities, meeting the domestic Gaokao Tier-2 (second-batch) admission scoreis enough to apply; if you’d like a bit more room, you can alsogothrough a pathway program to gain entry,in which case the score requirement can beeven lower.
Besides the university mentioned above, other institutions — for instance, the University of Melbourne, ranked 37th in the 2022 QS World University Rankings, orthe University of Sydney, ranked 38th in the 2022 QS World University Rankings, and other universities — all accept applications from students using their Gaokao results!
Just think about it — using your Tier-1 or Tier-2 Gaokao score to get straight into a world top-100 university. How good is that!
Strict exit
real ability
As for “strict exit”, this shows up in the fact that Australian degrees — from undergraduate to postgraduate and even doctoral level — all go through a systematic assessment process. From everyday essays and presentation assignments through to final exams, everything is designed to continually sharpen students’ logical thinking skills.
Reading academic literature builds critical thinking ability, ultimately improving the quality of learning and increasing the real value of the qualification.
What’s more, when it comes toacademic dishonesty and misconduct, the crackdown is strict and thorough!Things like paying someone to sit an exam or sign in for class for you? Simply not possible. This guarantees students actually learn real skills and steadily build genuine ability!
Beyond that, a good university doesn’t just mean a more valuable qualification — it broadens students’ horizons and exposes them to a much wider world. Stepping outside your comfort zone and seeing just how capable your peers can be is often what helps you finally understand what dream you’re really chasing! That’s the greatest thing studying abroad and seeing the world can give you!
Courses designed with employment in mind!
“Get into a good university, land a good job” — you’ve probably heard that phrase so often it’s practically background noise. But here’s the thing: Australian universities design their courses with exactly those two goals in mind. Australians are practical people, so university curricula are closely aligned with what the Australian job market actually needs! For example, universities offer plenty of hands-on, practical courses —finance students get real hands-on experience trading stocks, while media students head out with real equipment to shoot and edit footage. These are exactly the tasks these graduates will be doing every day in their future careers! Many universities even build dedicated internship units into the course:from the interview through to the internship itself and its completion, the university oversees every step, and the host companies are among Australia’s leading Western firms.
The goal is to give students genuine, usable work experience. Many quick-learning, conscientious students are offered a permanent role the moment their internship ends — solving the job-hunting problem altogether, andas fresh graduates entering the workforce, most can already earn enough to cover their own living costs and rent independently.

Applying to Australian universities ////
the paperwork couldn’t be simpler!
The application process for Australian universities isn’t complicated, and preparing the paperwork isn’t difficult either. Many Year 12 graduates assume that without a GPA or an IELTS score, studying abroad is out of reach. That’s simply not true!
An Australian undergraduate application mainly requires these five documents:
1. Academic transcripts covering all three years of senior secondary school, stamped by the school’s academic affairs office — one copy in Chinese and one in English (on official letterhead, stamped with the school seal or academic affairs office seal)
2. A certificate of enrolment from the school, one copy in Chinese and one in English (on official letterhead, stamped with the school seal or academic affairs office seal)
3. One notarised copy of the Gaokao results transcript
4. Some universities or programmes may require personal statement/essay materials (your education consultant will prepare these)
5. Complete the university’s application form and pay the application processing fee
Of these five documents, the only ones you actually need to arrange yourself are the transcript, the enrolment certificate, and the notarised Gaokao results — so much simpler than applying for a postgraduate degree after finishing university!
And with the help of our professional consultants, these steps become even easier — our consultants liaise directly with the universities, so you can sit back at home while the offer comes to you~
