WA State Nomination

As skilled migration becomes increasingly competitive,

WA state nomination has emerged as this financial year’s dark horse

significantly lowering invitation score thresholds and expanding eligible occupations

with particularly generous invitations extended to local graduates

Local Graduates Invited for Subclass 190 at 65 Points

The latest WA Graduate State Nomination invitation statistics, released in October:

65 points is enough to receive a pre-invitation!

Subclass 190 visas are being issued in large numbers to local graduates!

WA State Nomination Requirements

Remember when the first cohort to study in Tasmania secured their permanent residency ahead of schedule? Western Australia has now introduced a remarkably similar state nomination policy — so much so thatstudying a migration-pathway programme in WA now puts permanent residency within reach.

The requirements for the WA Graduate State Nomination are:

– Study duration in WAat least 2 years

– Qualification obtained in WAat Level 3 or above

– a full-time employment contract in WA (minimum 6 months), or 6 months of work experience anywhere in Australia

– For occupations in Group 1 and Group 2, applicants must haveIELTS 7 in each band; for all other occupations, IELTS 6 in each band (or equivalent PTE)

*WA Graduate invitation priority order: doctoral or master’s > honours bachelor’s > bachelor’s degree > high EOI score*

So if your other pathway options are limited, consider studying a programme in WA (a master’s degree or above is ideal) and catching the express lane to permanent residency as a local graduate!
