Study Abroad → Migration! Western Australia State Nomination That Really Delivers Graduate Pathways — Over 1,000 Subclass 190 Invitations for Local Graduates in a Single Round, Accounting/IT and More Invited from 65 Points!

Consistently, most state nomination programmes have offered greater advantages to local graduates in their policies and invitation rounds — lower scores, more invitations, or broader eligibility.

Looking at this financial year’s policies overall,no state nomination programme may be more generous to itsWestern Australiagraduates than WA’s own— where other states use ‘or’ for their advantages, while WA uses ‘and’.

More invitations + lower scores
Broader eligibility + more occupations

     More invitations

In the latest round of indicative invitations issued on 22 October, the local graduate Graduate stream issued nearly 1,200 invitations, with close to 1,000 going to higher education graduates.

Across the first three rounds already issued, the local graduate – higher education pathway has issued 1,297 Subclass 190 indicative invitations, the highest of all streams.

     Lower scores

Looking at the specific scores for invited occupations,Accounting 70 points, IT 70/80 points, Civil Engineering 70 pointsand so on — most fields only requirean EOI score of 70–80 points to receive an invitation.

Of course, Western Australia also welcomes graduates from interstate (with a recommendation to relocate within the state); invitation scores in this round were around 85 points, which is not particularly high compared with other states.

     Broader eligibility

-Skills assessment + EOI 65 points
-English: at least 6 in each of the four components
-Complete at least two years of Certificate III or higher study in Western Australia

  More occupations

Graduate Occupation List (GOL)currently has 331 occupations(General stream: 277 occupations).

Whether it is a field you are familiar with, have heard of, are interested in, or have never considered — most fields, expected or unexpected, are available for state nomination for local graduates in Western Australia.
