Previously, Western Australiahas expanded its occupation list again. In just half a financial year, the state has been remarkably active — with expansions concentrated in the WASMOL Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 under the General Stream. Of the two, Schedule 2 is the more widely applicable option, covering mainly common and in-demand occupations available to applicants who did not graduate in WA。
Popular Occupations like Accounting Invited at 75 Points
General Stream Schedule 2 — Requirements
– EOI score of at least 65 points
– Occupation on the Schedule 2 list with a relevant skills assessment
– For Subclass 190, a job offer in WA in a nominated occupation for at least 6 months; no such requirement for Subclass 491
– Language scores of at least 65 in each component
Beyond that, there are no mandatory work experience or points requirements. This stream is open to graduates from outside WA and does not, in principle, require applicants to live in Western Australia. In practice, those invited so far have already relocated to WA (no minimum residency period required), and several of our clients received invitations immediately after moving there.In the most recent round under this stream, occupations such as accounting, IT, and engineering were invited at an EOI score as low as 75.
And there is plenty of quota remaining!!
WA’s allocation is tracking very well — only around 15% had been used by the end of December, giving strong prospects for further score reductions and a broader invitation pool.

Currently in WA > Currently in Australia > Outside Australia;
Higher qualification = higher priority;
Higher EOI score = higher priority;
Earlier EOI submission = higher priority.
Based on recent invitation rounds, WA has been particularly generous with invitation scores for local graduates. Even accounting — one of the most fiercely competitive fields — only required an EOI of 75 for the WA Subclass 190!
