2023— 13 to 17 February 2023

Skilled visas including 190, 491 and 887 have all accelerated significantly recently. Due to the high volume, only a selection of grant notifications is shown below.

887 Grants Continue at a Torrential Pace

Applications lodged in 2020, 2021 and 2022 are all being processed — some long-waiting 2020 cases are finally being caught up. Singles, families, applicants both onshore and offshore are receiving grants. Most are granted directly; some need to supply an AFP check or similar document.



190 Continues to Be Granted Steadily

There are also many 190 grants, generally processed in lodgement order. Among the more recent cases, some lodged as late as June 2022 have been granted — though some earlier applications are still waiting.

491 Also Seeing Grants

Applications from 2021 make up the bulk, with a small number of long-waiting 2020 cases also being granted.

189 Still Processing October Last Year Priority

189 grants are still concentrated on October priority occupations,though some October engineering applications have now been granted.
