Tasmania’s first behavioural insights research lab — the Tasmanian Behavioural Lab — has been established! The lab is now officially operational at the University of Tasmania’s Hobart campus. Its significance is clear: behavioural research underpins much of the public policy that governments develop, and it also informs the business decisions made by company and organisation executives. It is therefore highly valuable in areas such as public policy development, marketing, user experience design, education and social psychology.
The Tasmanian Behavioural Lab is currently located in the KPMG building at the University of Tasmania’s Hobart city campus, with plans to open a further lab in Launceston in the future. The lab boasts advanced research facilities. It will not only contribute to numerous Australian Federal Government research projects, pursue international collaboration across education and business, and provide research support to local businesses and organisations, but will also offer students opportunities to research and study. Students will have the chance to learn in a state-of-the-art behavioural lab — don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
