Granted on Day One of the New Financial Year | Subclass 186 and 482 Grants Keep Coming, Subclass 103 Granted After a 12-Year Wait, and Subclass 143 Approved Too!


Today, 3 July, is the first working day of the 2023–24 financial year. In theory, from 1 July the new financial year’s grant quotas become available (for the many migration visa categories that have an annual cap). So how are grants tracking? Let’s take a look.

Accountant – Direct Entry Employer SponsorshipSubclass 186 DE nomination approved
Lodged September 2022; the next step is the visa application, and once granted PR follows.

Cook (Short-term occupation) – Subclass 482 employer-sponsored nomination approved
Lodged 8 June 2023, with a wait of under one month. A formal PR pathway for short-term occupations will soon be finalised.

Both parents granted – Subclass 143 Contributory Parent visa

Skills assessments are not bound by the old or new financial year – they are processed and approved in order of lodgement!

511112 Project Administrator skills assessment approved

Project Coordinator at an IT company – approved with no background check.
