NSW 491 New Policy Released: One Pathway Is Open to All but Competitive, the Other Has Higher Requirements but Steadier Invitations

There will always be emergencies on Fridays (Editor’s own words),NSW 491 finally announced its policy for the 23-24 fiscal year today, the last to be announced among all channels in any state.

Everyone still has expectations for Xinzhou 491.After all, the 1,500 quota is already the largest among all states.

Today is a small year for state nominations, and New South Wales does not intend to make it too complicated. There are only two channels this year, both of which are managed by the state government. For the time being, RDA will not participate in the state 491 project this year, so there is no need to ask which RDA is better to submit.

Channel 2 is suitable for more applicants than Channel 1. The editor puts it first.

Pathway2 channel two

All can be submitted
preinvitation system

Occupation list:Use the Migration Service’s list,This occupation can apply for 491 visa
Application requirements:
1. Meet the requirements of the Department of Home Affairs for 491 visa:
Have a skills assessment
Language at least four 6
EOI 65 points (get at least 50 by yourself)

2、Can apply both overseas and within the state
Correspondingly, you must have lived there for at least 3 months.
People in Sydney can also apply for NSW 491

Invitation rules:
-Priority is given to inviting target sectors, which belong to one of the followingMore likely to be invited
Health, education, ICT, infrastructure and agriculture
In theory, other professions and industries have the opportunity to be invited. But the competition can be imagined
-Competing at home and abroad, multiple factors on EOI will be considered.Score/work experience/language, etc., but the submission time will not affect the chances of being invited.
-The frequency and approximate time of invitations have not been disclosed for the time being. We will not announce the time of invitations in advance. You can send them if you want.

Those who are more familiar with New South Wales will feel that this is a copy of the New South Wales 190 policy, and the target sector and occupation list have not changed at all.The application threshold is the lowest, which means many people can enter the pool, but it will be very difficult to get invited.

Of course,If it is the Target sector, whether you are overseas or domestic, the opportunities are much greater.in particularSome applicants have lower scores and may be less than 190.The application base of New South Wales determines that its invitation points will not be very low. Then the score that 491 needs to get will be relatively lower. It also needs 85 points to be invited. 190 has to reach 80 points by itself, and 491 only needs 70 points.

If it is not the Target sector, just submit it and try.

Pathway1 channel one

You can apply for nomination directly

This channel basically continues the policy of the last fiscal year. As long as you already work and live in a nominated occupation in a regional area of New South Wales, you can directly apply for nomination. It’s just that the requirements this year are more stringent than last year.

Occupation list:Using the Department of Home Affairs’s list, this occupation can apply for a 491 visa.

Application requirements:
1. Meet the requirements of the Department of Home Affairs for 491 visa:
Have a skills assessment
Language at least four 6
EOI 65 points (get at least 50 by yourself)
2. Meet the requirements for working and living in regional areas of New South Wales
All the following requirements must be met
– Have continued to reside and work in remote New South Wales for at least the past 12 months
-The job needs to be related to the nominated position, can only be provided by one employer, and the annual salary is at least 70,000 Australian dollars (if it is less than 38 hours per week, it will be converted in the same proportion)
-Deemed skilled by NSW: Work performed after professional assessment deductions (if there are deductions), and relevant work must be claimed on the EOI

It is obvious that this channel is too high-profile. Even among people who work and live in regional areas of New South Wales, there may only be a small number of people who did not come ashore last financial year.

Two notes:
1. Pathway2 is to submit EOI. There has always been no so-called open and closed submission in New South Wales. EOI can always be submitted, but I didn’t dare to submit it rashly before I didn’t know whether it met the requirements. Now if you meet the requirements and want to try it, you can contact us~

If you have submitted a 491 EOI before,And you meet this year’s requirements (there are no additional requirements this year), there is still a chance of being invited,The state government also stated that the sooner or later the application is submitted will not affect the probability of being invited.

2. Some applicants who applied for RDA channels last year were turned back due to insufficient quotas. There is no RDA channel this year, so I can only submit Pathway2 and roll in the big pool with everyone.
