A Sentence During an Australian Trip Inspired Her Four-Year Migration Journey: “Before Fate Turns, Every Accumulated Moment Matters.”

“I often feel that life is a series of tiny butterfly effects. What we can do is to actively narrate life, communicate sincerely, share passionately, and never give up on every life. Even if it is not good now, maybe there will be good opportunities in the future.”

Ms. Ann is one of my clients from Shanghai, China.A trip to Australia in 2019 gave her the idea of immigrating. Since then, this idea has slowly opened a new chapter in her life like the fluttering wings of a butterfly, as she said.At my invitation, she talked about her journey of applying for Australian migration in the past few years.I am really grateful for her trust in me and Newstar, and I also want to thank her for her determination and persistence in her goals.Let’s take a look at the migration experience she shared, hoping to bring more inspiration and help to everyone.

Have you considered coming to live in Australia? you are still so young
Can you consider getting an identity to stay here~

The gears of fate really start to turn inadvertently. At a certain moment, known or unknown, the possibility of one’s life was changed.Origin Four years ago, an accidental trip to Australia started the four long years of waiting.
Let me first share my background.Graduated from Shanghai Normal University and started working in a bank in 2012, out of interest, I set aside some holidays every year to travel around. In September 2019, I, who had never taken a long-distance flight, came to the other side of the ocean for the first time. The streets of Sydney were full of romance and comfort.People here have slowed down, and I have learned to slow down and enjoy life. While on the Great Ocean Road that day, the driver asked me:Have you considered coming to live in Australia? You are still so young, why don’t you consider getting an identity to stay here~I never expected that sentence to inspire me.
The first voice chat after adding WeChat made me feel his stability.
And he wasn’t particularly full when he spoke. “

After returning to China, I immediately went through various channels to learn about the various channels through which I could obtain AU status. To be honest, looking back now, I feel a little blind. At the beginning, I searched for a certain YM on Dianping. I was stupid and bold, so I hurriedly went to their company. They wanted me to take the English test first, and gave me a technical YM plan. They said vigorously that there was no problem (I had doubts) and that it would definitely succeed, and they repeatedly urged me to do it at the same time (hurry up and pay, silly boy). Since I graduated several years ago,And I wanted to get my English score quickly, so I first chose Feifan PTE in Shanghai and did not pay the agency for the time being.

While taking the PTE course, I met Rene and his wife who were also running YM.Michael from Newstar was recommended to me.Make the next step immediately. Michael was different from the intermediaries I had contacted before. The first time he joined WeChat for voice chat,It made me feel that he was steady and his words were not particularly full. The suggestion is to first obtain PTE 7, then do a skills assessment, and then wait for opportunities (because financial immigrants were not on the career list at the time). So I signed the contract with Newstar smoothly.
During that time, I basically finished reading and it was already two or three in the morning.

For a working dog in a bank, it is not easy to take the 7-point test. On November 28, 2019, the score in the first test was not ideal, just a few inches away from the 7-point test. However, now that I have made up my mind, I move forward bravely. It is impossible to achieve results without hard work. I still remember that the KPI of the unit was very tight at that time. If I could not complete the performance for a week, I had to go to the branch to make a report. And when I finished the report at 22 o’clock in the evening, I had to go home and wash up and then frantically refreshed the reading. During that time, I basically finished reading at two or three in the morning. Finally, the hard work paid off. Finally on December 29, 2019I blew up successfully in my third PTE exam.

February 2020,Financial Investment Adviser’s skills assessment for financial investment advisors also went smoothly.

When will my career open?

“Will my score lead to an invitation?”

However, there is no such smooth road to obtain PR. In 2020, covid-19 swept the world. “When will my career be opened?” This is probably the question I ask Michael most. He would patiently tell me every time, “Just wait and see, it will be difficult for everyone during the lockdown.”Just wait for 2 years.

Finally, in August 2022, Michael brought me good news. Some states opened up my career. I submitted the ROI and EOI of South Australia 491, New South Wales and Victoria. However, friends in the WeChat group were invited in the first and second rounds, but I was late. I haven’t waited for the invitation, “Can I get invited with my score (5 points will be dropped sharply in September 2022 due to age)” “Why is there no 222311 in this round of invitations” “My PTE will be 3 years old in December, and the skills assessment will expire next year.”These questions hammer my extremely anxious head over and over again every day.

“Ann, Xinzhou has pre-invited you, it’s 190!

On October 27, 2022, Michael brought me good news via voice call!“Ann,Xinzhou has pre-invited you, it’s 190! “Although more than a year has passed, the excitement of that moment is still fresh in my memory. Yes, I finally landed! The next step is to prepare the information step by step according to the Newstar team, including updated letters of recommendation, social security, tax forms, etc. The information was submitted on November 1, 2022.November 3, 2022I got a formal invitation from NSW, finally no longer have to worry about language scores and expired VET skills assessments.

After submitting the criminal certificate and notarizing the birth certificate,On November 14, 2022Officially submit your visa.

Will there be any problems with the materials? Will it be electronically adjusted?
Will there be delays in getting a visa for business majors?

What followed was a long wait for the signing. Originally, Michael expected it to be half a year. As a result, in April 2023, it was almost suspended for half a year due to insufficient signing quotas. During this period, there was also a lot of anxiety and uneasiness (will there be problems with the materials/will I be able to perform electronic adjustment/will the business profession be delayed), etc., but Michael told me that our materials were fully prepared.Don’t worry, it’s just a matter of time.
“For YM, what’s important is not just the moment when fate changes.
It’s about every moment accumulated over time before this moment arrives. “

I just opened my eyes on October 18, 2023.I saw Simon left me a message on VX at 6:54“Congratulations on getting Australian PR”, I jumped out of bed excitedly. That day was definitely the happiest day in 2023. Yes, I signed it, yes, it has been nearly four years. I have grown from a young aunt to an old aunt, but I think it’s worth it!

I believe many people have experienced the hardships of getting PR along the way like me, especially after experiencing covid-19 and Shanghai’s lockdown. This is the story of a YM from an ordinary family who is no longer an ordinary migrant worker. This is a new beginning.

Regarding YM, what is important is not only the moment when fate turns, but every moment accumulated over time before this moment arrives. I hope everyone can be prepared to turn the gears of their own destiny.

Finally, I would like to express my sincere thanks to Simon, Michael and Tina of the Newstar team for their companionship and encouragement over the past four years, and for using your professionalism to protect my YM journey.

Editor’s conclusion

A few days ago, when the editor read Ms. Ann’s sharing for the first time, I felt strange but familiar. I read it carefully again today and found out,It turned out to be because I saw those familiar “anxiety” in the article.

When not invited,Ask yourself every day, ask consultants and even ask through various channels, when will it come to me? Even if you give a rough idea? After being invited and submitting the signature,Ask yourself and your advisor every day, when can I sign? They’ve all done it, why haven’t I? Is it my problem? What else can I do?

The migration process is inherently a marathon, not a 100-meter sprint., there are too many things that neither the applicant nor the consultant agent can control during this period.

For what you can control, try your best 100%. For what you can’t control, pay attention but adjust your mentality. I believe everyone will have that moment when they jump with joy.

Don’t worry, it’s just a matter of time
