Official quotas are here — still a significant cut 😭

Official quotas released — Tasmania first to publish

The full quotas for this year are out. Subclass 190 gets 1,200 places, Subclass 491 gets 650, for a total of 1,850 — down 1,010 (a 35% reduction) on last financial year. Of that, Subclass 190 is down 900 (from 2,100) and Subclass 491 is down 110 (from 760). It looks like the Department is determined to keep trimming the quotas, so this year applicants should make every invitation count.

Other states are expected to publish their new financial-year quotas shortly. Tasmania’s cut is on par with the previously reported reduction for WA.
